Wicked Good Cupcakes was founded by a mother- daughter team from Boston, Mass. Inspired after taking a baking class together, Tracey and Danielle began posting pictures of their creations online for family and friends. This led to opening a store in 2011, followed by getting an investment on Shark Tank in 2013. Wicked Good Cupcakes is now a nationally recognized brand and part of the Hickory Farms family of gourmet food gifts.

Their goal

The founders were looking for non-traditional ways to increase distribution and grow and scale their business with the ultimate goal being to create a successful exit for their family.

Wicked Good Cupcakes sold to Hickory Farms in 2018. It’s now not only a recognized brand nationwide, but also one of the most successful stories coming out of Shark Tank
