Founders Jeremy and Lee are a husband-and-wife team who believe that one-on-one personal training is the best way to get the most from your workout time. As lifelong learners with deep industry knowledge, they opened Hyatt Strength + Wellness in Portland, Oregon, in 2011. Proven to be a gym like no other, they offer strong community connection, a customized experience and a controlled environment for their clients to thrive.
Their goal
With few industries hit as hard as gyms during the pandemic, Jeremy and Lee came to us for thought partners to explore how to take their business into the future, using this point in time as an opportunity to make improvements that would serve them and their company for years to come.
How we helped
Using Meriwether Group’s proprietary North Star approach, we conducted a deep dive into their business. Discovering they had done so many things well, we really had to dig for areas to improve! We conducted a full market analysis, including interviews with their trainers, a regional and national competitor evaluation, a products, services and pricing assessment as well as a brand and communications review.

Having dedicated time carved out with our team of objective allies and moderators allowed Jeremy and Lee to cut through the noise and hold themselves accountable to making change. During our work together, Hyatt Strength + Wellness implemented new cutting edge software technology, updated their branding and name, launched a new program and pricing strategy and extended their offering to include more wellness options like massage and reiki.
