A finance whisperer and trusted client advisor, Tyler looks holistically at a client’s market, operational and financial data and sees the story of the business: successes and challenges, strengths and opportunities. His passion is guiding entrepreneurs and family-owned companies through the process of acquiring liquidity and/or growth capital, helping them find the best path forward and helping them connect with the right financial partner for their beloved business, brand and employees.

Prior to joining Meriwether Group, Tyler honed his investment banking skills at D.A. Davidson, Morgan Stanley and A.G. Edwards. His experience has focused on buy- and sell-side mergers and acquisitions, corporate divestitures, valuations and capital raises of senior debt, mezzanine and equity securities. He grew up actively involved in a fourth-generation, family-owned business and has developed particular expertise in the consumer, manufacturing, distribution and retail industries. Tyler holds an MBA from the University of Michigan and a BA in Finance from the University of Montana. He currently lives in Montana with his wife, two adorable children and their extremely bouncy Golden Retrievers, Pepper and Fletch.

  • Advised on over 60 M&A and investment banking transactions representing over $7 billion in enterprise value.
  • Developed unique expertise in complex corporate transactions including minority and majority equity raises, debt recapitalizations, leverage buyouts and international transactions.
  • Developed corporate venture capital program and helped lead buy-side acquisition efforts for two of the largest deals to date for a Fortune 500 company.
  • Advised emerging regional and national consumer brands on corporate and M&A transactions, including Zoot Sports, Super7, Alpenrose Dairy, Avid Cider, Handel’s Homemade Homemade Ice Cream, Rare Wine Company, Rainshadow Labs, Tyson Food, Del Monte and Rocky Boots.
